A community for those who care about development.
We are UBC’s only club bringing together students from all disciplines to discuss the economic, social, and fiscal conditions of the developing world.

What is Development Economics?
Development economics is the study of how societies can overcome poverty and build better lives. It asks practical, real-world questions like:
- What policies keep kids in school?
- How do families make choices when resources are scarce?
- What drives long-term growth?
Over 250 million children worldwide are still out of school.
Over 700 million people still live on less than $2.15 a day.
